Tribe Kids: Seek Kindness
This month we “Seek Kindness,” by reading two amazing books, doing workouts with our friends, and thinking about what it means to be kind. In our 8 and under book, “Tani’s New Home,” we learn about Tani, a Nigerian refugee who finds a welcoming home in America and manages to win the New York State Chess Championships at age 8! In our 8-12 year old book, “A Boy Called Bat (part 1),” we follow the main character Bat as he cares for his pet skunk Kit. In both of these heartwarming stories, empathy is center stage and kindness plays a big role in each character’s life in different ways.
We challenge Tribe Kids to put more kindness out into the world. They can start by inviting friends to do the “Friend Ruck” with them, and then to do the partner workout “Friend Me.” Both of these activities give children a chance to connect with their friends through fitness. This month encourage the children in your lives to focus on all the good things around them and contribute to the good. After all, there can never be too much kindness in the world!
