Driving through the middle of everywhere known as the Ozarks, which are equally beautiful and underrated, we found love at first sight. Half the fun at the Burger Barn was walking around while we waited, talking to local park rangers (pray for rain for Arkansas if that’s your thing — they desperately need it). The rest of the fun was the food itself. If you ask what to eat, you’ll likely hear “that’s what the menu’s for.” And if you ask what to drink, you’ll likely hear “look, this is real simple here.” And it is, in the best of ways.

Head to Ozark, Ar for Rivertowne BBQ which is arguably the best pulled pork in Arkansas. Or Come to Fort Smith’s famous “Doe’s Eat Place” for the best steak in Arkansas.

Lol then you must have been rude to him because I’ll tell you this… I’ve been a lot of places all over the United States and have met lots of folks and tom is anything but rude! He’d give a perfect stranger the shirt off his back if need be and do ANYTHING in the world to help someone in need! So unless you are just bat shit crazy or you were rude first then anyone who knows him knows this is a lie! And as for the one who says he wouldn’t take an order…. most places don’t when they’re closed… or if you’re being ugly. I’ve NEVER know him not to take an order just because. So tell the whole story friend or keep your mouth shut! Thanks!

I’m sure there was a good reason for him NOT taking an order… they never have and never will refuse service without good reason. I’ve known them my entire life so tell the whole story or none at all!
Love this place! We live eight hours away. But we go riding in NW Arkansa about once a year. Go there every time.
