After touring Beck Boots and getting our own, we believe they make the best cowboy boots in the world. On our way out of town, they recommended Coyote Bluff Cafe, home to the Burger from Hell, loaded with jalapenos, as good as any we’ve ever had.

On several recommendations we got at the team ropin’ event in Dallas, we visited what was said to be the best bootmaker in Texas, Beck Boots. Harry Beck lit up when he found out Jason was a paratrooper, proudly showing us Beck’s jump boots created decades ago. He also gave us the full tour, and we can’t imagine a better boot exits than a Beck boot. We tried on pairs of our own that we ultimately couldn’t live without.
We stopped by our favorite Austin cupcake spot, hey cupcake, to chat with our friend (and host while in Austin) Ben and learn how, exactly, their cupcakes are so good. Lucky for us we got there before they were completely sold out, which happened while we were filming.
Our first meal in Austin was at Torchy's Tacos, in a 'trailer park' eatery. Legit Tex-Mex, one ‘Democrat’ and one ‘Republican’ hit the spot before we followed many people's recommendations and visited TC's lounge on the East side. It was a super quiet night, however, so we chatted with TC and watched The Finals, then returned the next night for more action.
The Oklahoma City National Memorial, and its Survivor Tree.
On the recommendation of Spartacus and everyone else in town, we had lunch at Oklahoma Joe's, located in a gas station – where they work hard, with their hands, and take pride in making the best BBQ in Kansas City. We'll be back every time were in town, or even close.
