The Shed, Santa Fe, New Mexico
We got to Santa Fe and had dinner at the Shed, known for the best local food around; Our new friend (and waitress) chose the #10 with red and green chile sauce for us. She also talked to us all dinner about Santa Fe and things to do here. We couldn't break it to her that (like always) we were just passing through!
A Mission and Dennis Hopper, Around Taos, New Mexico
The most famous and most-photographed church in New Mexico, the San Francisco de Asis Mission Church in Taos, was being remudded when we visited. We also made a pilgrimage to Dennis Hopper’s grave mound, to pay our respects.
Relaxing in Taos, New Mexico

Entering New Mexico
We hit the long straight hot road out of Amarillo and climbed up and over the border through Logan, New Mexico. In the mountains before Angel Fire, on Joe's route to work, we blew a tire. Luckily we're tougher than rubber, so half an hour later we were back on the road.
