Taos was quite relaxing. Nestled far up in the mountains, cool summer nights set the scene. Our hostess invited us to a backyard opera (only in Taos?), wonderfully performed by students at the taos opera institute – the ambiance made complete by sheep running around and a gracious host who promised us the best rack of lamb we’ve ever had (done on his Oklahoma Joe’s smoker) if we would come back for the July 4th festivities.
