I thank each and every one of you for proudly and honorably serving your country!
Thank you to each of you for serving and to all the men and women who put on a uniform for our country.
Thank you all for your service, continued focus and dedication!
9/11 Was the day my life changed forever, it took 3 years for me to get my crap together but in 2004 I enlisted. I am proud to have served in both Iraq and Afghanistan. I was wounded severely in 2009 and have been on the road to recovery since then. I will never be the person I was before I joined and I am proud to be the person I am now. If given the chance again and knowing I would be in the situation I am in I would stand up and volunteer all over again. I am proud to have the opportunity to serve my country and I am proud to have been part of an elite group that did some major things to further our freedom. As Veterans Day approaches I am honored to remember my teammates that paid the ultimate sacrifice and I am honored to have family members that stood up and answered the call as well. My father in law who at 17 signed up and was part of World War 2 before he was even 18. My grandfather who also was in World War two and paid the ultimate sacrifice, my father who was a Vietnam Veteran. May he rest in peace, I am humbled at the continued bravery and sense of purpose that most of my friends feel to protect this country and I am humbled to have been part of the US Military for the time that I was. Lets remember all of those who paid the price for us and those at home who are wounded and trying to put our lives together. I also wanted to say thank you to the cadre of Go Ruck, you all are giving folks an opportunity to do something life-changing. The experience of teamwork and unity and becoming something beyond ones self is an amazing feeling. I had the opportunity to do a Go Ruck Tough event this year and I would not have made it without the team of amazing men we had. Thanks for all you do and God Bless America!
