The mark itself refers to the Samuels family, fourth generation, who built Maker’s Mark into what it is today. Proud to be in beautiful Loretto and the anchor of Kentucky’s Bourbon Trail, the distillery is rightfully given a historic status. Maker’s Mark and its employees humbly credit Mother Nature’s spring-fed lake on the property with creating the unique taste, but we also saw a real commitment to quality and a process that spares no additional time or cost.
