Summers in Ohio are pure nostalgia for me. Ice Cream is always found in the time machine back to my youth, and Graeter’s, out of Cincy, is my favorite. It’s been around since 1870, and that’s the formula for today’s versions. The 1870 recipe.

We went to the shop at Fountain Square in the heart of the Queen City. The dilemma for me was that I love Buckeye Blitz, but allegedly dogs have issues with chocolate. Even Java. So the only right answer was to get both. In line, as I was debating it all, I was referred to the sorbets for dogs. Yeah, that was the recommendation, that dogs like sorbets. My kind of place, obviously, even though Java got Black Cherry. All were happy, and all was right in the world.
