BULLET RUCK: 10L & 15L Ruck Plate Compatibility

The Bullet Ruck is an active dayruck. The interior plate pocket is compatible with the Ruck Plates shown below and the shoulder straps will feel good when you’re rucking the weight.

10lb Ruck Plate

Fits in both plate pockets.

20 LB Standard Ruck Plate

Fits in both rucks. The plate is secure in the 10L and will not shift, but has more room in the 15L and may shift from side to side — to make it more secure, wrap the Ruck Plate in a t-shirt or something to prevent it from shifting around.

20 LB Expert Ruck Plate

Does not fit in the 10L plate pocket, but DOES fit in the 15L.

30 LB Standard Ruck Plate

Does not fit in the 10L plate pocket, but DOES fit in the 15L.

30 LB Expert Ruck Plate

Does not fit in the 10L plate pocket, but DOES fit in the 15L.

If you’re new to rucking, the Bullet Ruck is a great place to start. If you want to do a GORUCK Challenge (especially a Tough or Heavy), we recommend you look at the Rucker or GR1, which will secure the weight down —this matters when you’re doing bear crawls, of course. Less so if you’re rucking around town with your friends or just want to throw some stuff in and go. We also recommend the Bullet Ruck if you’re traveling — shove it inside your GR2 or GR3 and you’ll have something streamlined and simple (to put a Ruck Plate in, or not) when you get where you’re going.

I can´t find a 15L Bullet in your online shop. Will it be available soon or is it an old model or ….? Thank you!

  11. Great info on the Bullet Ruck plate compatibility! I’ve been using mine for workouts and it’s solid. Speaking of solid resources, I just found out that echoes of heian has a great wiki for tips and codes if you’re into Roblox games.

Thank you for creating such an amazing article website. The information is always useful, easy to understand, and interesting to read. I truly appreciate the effort you put into sharing valuable knowledge with readers worldwide. Your website inspires learning and helps people discover new ideas every day.

  13. The compatibility breakdown is useful because it distinguishes “fits” from “fits securely.” The note that a 20 lb standard plate has extra side-to-side room in the 15L—and can be stabilized with a T-shirt—is more practical than a simple yes/no chart. For teams maintaining older gear guides and the 50 reader discussions below them, a comments exporter could help collect recurring questions by ruck size and plate type. One addition that would make this archive even clearer is a small table showing pocket dimensions alongside the current plate dimensions, especially for readers comparing discontinued and newer models.

  14. The 10L-versus-15L distinction is useful because “fits” is not the same as “stays stable.” A plate that shifts side to side can change balance and make a session feel harder even at the same weight, so the T-shirt wrap is a practical low-cost fix. When comparing loaded and unloaded sessions, I sometimes pair perceived effort with a quick Reaction Speed Test afterward—not as a fitness score, but as a consistent check on fatigue and concentration. Keeping the pack setup identical makes that comparison much less noisy.
