CELEBRATORY BEERS FOR GRT BROOKE HAAS
This year we teamed up with Brooke Haas, a flame patch holding GRT since most of y’all were still rocking a JanSport, as she prepares to head off to the Atlantic Regionals of the CrossFit Games. During the CrossFit Open this year Brooke finished up the best of her CrossFit career at 3rd in her region and 25th in the world.

Not only has she been around since forever but has been an awesome member of the GORUCK community and a great friend to a lot of us here at HQ. Always down for a couple miles under a ruck and the ACRT after (or during), Brooke is a great example of what being a GRT is all about.
We sat down with her to talk about why she keeps showing up, how to balance training with the other aspects of life and what it takes to compete at such a high level. She knows more than anyone that the hardest part of an event isn’t the desire to finish, but the desire to train. It’s the miles spent under a ruck late at night while your friends are sleeping or at the bar doing rounds of tequila shots without you.

You are such a badass Brooke! I like what you had to say about training quality over volume. At your level and with your work schedule, it seems like the best way to train; to attack each session and get the most out of it. We can all learn from your dedication and experience. Good luck in Regionals; I’ll be cheering for you!
That’s awesome! Wish I lived a bit closer… sounds like the workout and party will be a great time!
