I won’t go into it in great detail, but returning home from war fully intact, let alone disabled, is difficult. There was a time in that process when I felt that all I had in this world was my dog. And Java was everything to me, so few causes hit home like dogs and Vets. Recently, my little sister reminded me of those days via a gift: Harry Barker‘s dog treats and play balls to support Canines for Veterans.  The cause pairs rescue dogs with disabled Vets; on top of that, military prisoners train the dogs to become service dogs.
