On 5 Jan 2016, in Afghanistan, Matt McClintock gave his life in the arena of war so that others could rest peacefully at night. Teammate, Friend, Brother. These are names some of our Cadre have used for Matt. He was also known as Father, Husband and Son. Matt was a great guy with fast, witty, intelligent humor when you needed it the most. Had things turned out differently, it would have surprised no one to have him leading GORUCK events when returned. This is a hard loss, for all of us and especially for America.
