Daytime beers on the pier at Nick’s while java takes a swim. O’s vs. Indians at Camden followed by a block party with live music at Federal Hill. Beers out of someone’s cooler (always the right answer), smiles and a sense of community.

Robin Hood opening night at New Jersey’s only drive-in theater, the Delsea Drive-In. And tonight we had no food, only semi-cold beer left over from Connecticut next to the two pups we had to sneak in. So we made do with what we had, and loved it.
Our friend Russ, an ESPN up and comer, gave us the tour, or rather, the walk around, since tours have to be booked months in advance. The buzz today was what may be Lebron's last game as a Cav. The guys work hard and play hard here, some watch sports on their off time and some can’t, but when your job is to stay on top of the sports world, you get really, really good at what you do.
Colder outside than it should have been for a baseball game, wearing gloves to drink beer at Fenway is still great, especially with the Yanks in town. (But it should be summer already, or spring, or something.) The Sox fans took pride as Yanks fan were ejected and in running up the score, eagerly greeting each with standing O’s . This spilled into the bars and restaurants downtown after everyone left the stadium, thrilled at having crushed the Yanks.
A walk around Providence and a senseless (to us) game of cricket later, we diverted to Scurvy Dog on the outskirts of town. It’s about as unpretentious as it gets. One pool table. A missing short stick (it walked out months ago). Angela recommended the house special, the Red Velvet, which is Guinness & Strongbow. No takers, how about a beer, you've got plenty of good ones.
$13 Lobster sandwich on the water in Portland, Maine. The perfect prequel to walking around Portland, happy with its small-town feel. The rain wouldn't let up, but it didn't matter. we walked around a bit, and wondered whether it was ok to have lobster for dinner too (answer: yes).
